Recently, there was a buzz that collection king Mohan Babu was roped in to do the role of the legendary N T Rama Rao for the movie ‘Rakta Charitra’ but in no time that fizzled out. But then, that has got many thinking as to why the senior star has kept away from the project. Some say that Mohan Babu’s ties with the late Paritala Ravi were known to all but then his eventual relationship with the late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s family after Vishnu-Veranica marriage created the gaps. Though nothing went wrong, it seems that Mohan Babu was not so much in touch with Ravi family unlike the earlier times. In a recent interview, Mohan Babu said he had no link with ‘Rakta Charitra’ right from the start but sources say that it is only after the role was offered to Mohan Babu and he turned it down that it went to the Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha. Many say that Mohan Babu would have created a larger impact at least for the Telugu version if he was there. |
