The much awaited Mickey J. Meyer-Sekhar Kammula duo is back with Leader. Expectations are definitely high afterHappy Days which rocked all the charts. Though not a total disappointment, Leader'smusic definitely borders on the mediocre.The album has six songs and one instrumental. Lyrics are by Dr. Veturi Sundararamamurthy. The first track 'Maa Telugu Talliki' is a good peppy number with atmospherically inspiring orchestration.
'Avunana Kadana' is pleasant and delightful; Naresh Iyer and Shwetha Pandit have crooned the romantic song to good effect; 'Vandemataram' is an average song rendered by Nakash Aziz who instills life into it. 'Rajasekhara', a stage drama like track resembles 'Kajra re'. 'Hey CM' by Sunita Sarathy is nice.
Mickey makes excellent use of the harmonic vocals of Krishna Chaitanya, Siddharth, Kranthi, Sashi Kiran and Aditya in 'Sreelu pongina'.
