CM's Convoy used for 'Leader'

When Shekhar Kammula does it, he wants everything to have the sheen of reality. Last time, when he introduced a new kinda political idealist in his film Godavari, he was talking about real-time parties like Congress and TDP.
This time, when he is making Leader, with Daggabati Rana in the lead, he has gotten real again. To shoot a scene in which Rana, the lead actor, has to travel in a specially-designed protective convoy like a Chief Minister (the debutante is playing the chief minister of AP in the film!), Mr. Kammula decided to shoot it with the actual convoy used by late Chief Minister Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy!
Securing a special permission from high-profile bureaucrats and polticos in the Government, he shot it publicly on the Khairatabad fly-over. Giving the facade of reality to make people think that it was the CM who was passing the road, the unit members did not let the public there know that it was a film shoot, they shot the whole scene by hiding the cameras.
Never to compromise on quality, Shekhar did it clandestinely, though it involved negotiating with biggies. As the perfectionist-director felt the scene was not still perfect, he re-shot the same scene after a week.

With the makers planning to release the film on December 24, the audio will be released in the last week of November or first week of December. Hope Leader turns out to be the true Box-office leader.

She appreciated Charan and said that she is amazed the way the young hero has transformed as an actor.

Gopichand Coming as Encounter Specialist

There is a halo around encounter specialists these days. After the same was commercially exploited by J D Chakravarthy's Siddham, in which Jagapathi Babu played an encounter specialist, it has become all the more attractive.
Top director Puri Jagannadh's next film Golimar will see the protagonist playing one. And the hero is none other than tough guy Gopichand. The actor has been looking for success for quite some time, as some of his recent films did not fare too well at the box office.
With the lank in the able hands of a star director, it seems he will finally get dumb lucky this time.

Hansika with Devi Sri Pradasd

The music director Devi Sri Prasad is turning hero at last. M.S.Raju is introducing him as lead hero in a new film to be directed by a young director. Buzz is that pre-production work is in full swing. Hansika will play female lead opposite Devi Sree Prasad. What Happened to PURI ?

Director Puri Jagannadh’s latest film Ek Niranjan does not live up to the high expectations of the audiences.Audience  expect more from Prabhas and Puri combinations.Every one knows that he delivered the block buster movie Pokiri with Mahesh Babu in the past.

As per the sources he is still in pokiri hangover beacause some of the Ek niranjan scenes just look like they have been picked up from Pokiri. So what happened to his creativity, will he come up with another block buster movie in future? These are all the questions raised by the audiences.

So hopefully we expect another sensational  block buster movie with new creativity from Puri in future.

Asin faints during interview

Keeping up with the recent trend of Bollywood beauties fainting due to overwork and too much exposure to the limelight, South India beauty Asin, who has been giving nonstop interviews for her upcoming movie London Dreams, collapsed during a media event for the film at a club in Andheri. The actress was immediately rushed to hospital.
Asin later explained, "Actually, I hadn’t slept at all that day or the night before. I had been doing back-to-back interviews for London Dreams for the last one week with just 3-4 hours of sleep. On that day, there was no sleep or food at all. Anyway, I’m making up for the exhausting week with the most peaceful and happy birthday of my life."
Even though the actress maintains that she is overworked, sources say it is her fixation to get thinner that has taken a toll on her health. In September 2009, Asin was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai following an acute sinus condition. It was then reported that she had been neglecting the condition for quite some time while working round-the-clock, shooting for London Dreams.
Asin, we like you as you are! Don't risk your health for some fads!

Addressing reporters on the eve of Technopark-based Toonz celebrating its first decade of operations, its CEO P. Jayakumar said production of this film has commenced after completing pre-production works.
"This is a 90 minute 3D animation film in English. Bachchan cleared this story after hearing seven ideas from us. We had a three-hour discussion with him in Hyderabad where he was assisted by Abhishek and Aishwarya. The film tells the tale of a royal family, united by love and divided by misunderstanding and how they adopt twin children into their family," he said.
Priyadarshan is expected to spend a week in the Toonz studio and again join the team when the post-production work begins. The post-production will be in Mumbai because Bachchan is particular about the quality of post-production. The film will be released by Diwali next year.

Puri Jagannadh! What’s Secret Behind 10th Feb 1980?

Crazy director Puri Jagannadh has got a pattern in his style of movie making. While the multiple tracks in one story is a common feature, this time, he has arrived with another feature in his latest offering ‘Ek Niranjan’ and many seem to have noticed this.
Apparently, the film has scenes which show criminals and then there is an electronic screen by the side which gives the details such as date of birth and other important details. However, all such displays showed the date of birth of different characters as 10th February 1980.
This got many thinking as to why and how it is like that. While some say that it could be due to a technical thing that the same DOB is there, there are those who say that Puri has a reason for everything he does. Well, only time will reveal if this date has any link with Puri or not.

Screen Talk: Just 3 In Arya 2

The film ‘Arya 2’ is currently in the last stages of its making and it is expected to hit the screens during late November or early December. For any movie, the success of the audio forms a crucial role and in this case, it looks like the first hurdle has already been cleared without the formal audio release itself.
Apparently, three songs from the movie have already been leaked onto the internet and they have been getting a real good response. So now, there are just 3 more songs that are waiting to be heard. However, the initial mark has already been registered and it has been quite positive.
Stylish star Allu Arjun is the hero while the saucy seductress Kajal Agarwal is the leading lady. The music for the film has been composed by the talented Devisri Prasad and it looks like he has scored another success in his kitty with the tunes of this movie. The official audio release is taking place on November 1st.

Michael Jackson Gets Huge Applause On Telugu Screen

He is known as the king of pop and though he hails from America, even the remote villages of Andhra Pradesh know him. He is none other than Michael Jackson and though it has been a while he has passed away, he still enjoys the same fan following here like in the rest of the world.
This was seen again in the latest release ‘Ek Niranjan’. Apparently, music director Mani Sharma came up with a tribute song for MJ and this was mixed with desi lyrics. As soon as the song hit the screens and Michael was seen, the audience got into frenzy and claps, whistles were thundering in the theatre.
Interestingly, the maximum response was coming from the front benchers and this goes to show the impact Michael has had on their lives as well. The song has been rocking and it must be said that Mani Sharma owes it to the legendary Michael for scoring a super tune.

'Leader' Becomes Sensation Of 2009

The maverick movie maker Sekhar Kammula was last seen with the blockbuster hit ‘Happy Days’ and he has been keeping a low profile after that. Well, the director has been busy with the making of his new movie ‘Leader’ and this marks the debut of Daggubati Rana, grandson of D Ramanaidu.
Inside sources reveal that the shooting of the film has been going well and the release date is being scheduled in the month of December. The output has been very good that it becomes a sensation it seems. If all goes well, then ‘Leader’ will turn out to be the sensation of the year 2009 and this will bring in smiles to the ailing Tollywood industry.
Rana is pairing up with Priya Anand and Richa Gangopadhyay in this and it is slated to be a political entertainer. This is also a new facet of Sekhar Kammula who has been known for his tender and heartful romantic treats. Get ready for this new sensation folks.

Hot Hansika Lures Young Hearts

She is known as the apple pie beauty of the film fraternity and barely is she eighteen but she already has a major string of admirers not just in Tollywood but also in Bollywood. She is none other than Hansika Motwani who has the credit of scoring three back to back hits in Telugu.
Her latest offering is ‘Jayeebhava’ and more than her innocent smiles and sparkling eyes, it is her oomph factor that bowled many audience. They said that this is perhaps the first time that Hansika was seen in a rather extra glossy and glamorous image.
She was looking her seductive best in the songs and even the first half had her sporting some of the most trendy outfits and making her look simply adorable. If this milky beauty continues her appeal like this then she would soon be the ruling queen of Tollywood, predict the trade pundits.

‘Jr NTR and I are best of buddies’

Born into one of Tollywood’s first families, acting was a natural choice for Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, NT Rama Rao’s grandson. Around nine-movies-old in Tollywood, he may not have had great hits, but claims he is still learning the tricks of the trade.

“It takes time to be successful and not everyone is a Hrithik Roshan, who became a star overnight. Luck too plays an important role. I’m still learning,” says Kalyan Ram, who is “amused” by rumours that claim he is “threatened” by competition from his half brother Junior NTR and that they are not on talking terms.

“Tarak and me are leagues apart. He is a mass hero and I have only done family entertainers. I know my limitations and there is no problem between us,” he says.In fact, the two are thick buddies, says Kalyan.

“We discuss our movies, locations, shots etc. I tell him all about my project and he does the same too. It is only when we are busy with our shoots, we don’t get to meet up regularly. A lot has been written about an alleged ‘rift’ between us, but we’d rather not dwell on them,” he adds.

Siddharth-Shruti Hassan film "YODHA"

Legendary director K. Raghavendra Rao's son Prakash Kovelamudi directing a fantasy film with Siddharth and Shruthi Haasan (who also debuted as music director with her father Kamal Hassan's film Eenadu) in the lead.As per the sources of CineHerald.com this movie titled as "Yodha".

I learnt a lot from Tollywood

For Sneha Ullal who is considered a 'clone' of Aishwarya Rai, Bollywood is no more a viable choice and Tollywood is "home". The 23-year-old Ullal who is four-films-old here claims that it is the Telugu film industry that taught her everything she knows about showbiz.

"I was born in Muscat and my lifestyle is different from the one here. I learnt a lot from Tollywood. I like the way this industry works, the people are warm. Moreover, the roles are encouraging. So, I am doing more films here than elsewhere," says Sneha, who also has Kannada and Hindi films in her kitty.

Talking about the big, bad world of Bollywood, she says, "To survive in Bollywood, you need to be a lot more shrewd, smart and cold. I was just 17 when I did my first movie there. It was Tollywood that gave me a chance to prove that I can act."

Sneha is also ready to set shop here and camp in Hyderabad from now on. "I'm planning to buy a house and settle down here. It will be convenient for filmmakers too since it will save them the trouble of flying me down from Mumbai every time," she says.
She may be a current favourite, thanks to the fair skin and light-eyed fixation the industry has. But, acting has never been the forte of Ullal who is often brushed off as a expressionless "glam doll". "Yes, I have to improve on my dance, dubbing and emotional scenes," she admits. "But if someone calls me a glam doll, I'd take it as a compliment," says Sneha in her defence.

The actress also adds that she is looking for roles that are "hatke". "I've realised that my roles are getting monotonous. I have only been playing the bubbly girl, probably because of my looks. I need to meet more filmmakers to bag different roles. I'd love to play a murderer or act in horror movies," quips Sneha who admits that being an Aishwarya look-alike actually helped her at the beginning of her career.

"It did generate a lot of curiosity about me and people sat up and took notice. But it soon got tiring. I didn't like being compared with Aishwarya always. She is a senior actress and I have just started my career. When they compare me with her, there are always more expectations. Looks can just get you a role, but you have to know how to act," she says.

Prakash Raj as Hijacker?

Radha Mohan is getting ready with his next movie in Tamil and Telugu which will have Nagarjuna in the lead, jointly produced by Prakash Raj's Duet Movies and Dil Raju. As per the sources of cineherald.com this movie titled as "Payanam" in Telugu. It will reportedly revolve around the hijack of an airplane and Prakash Raj doing a character as a Hijacker.

Jr.NTR Get's 9999 number

Young Tiger Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao is now owner of car number 9999, he purchased Scoda Super Car in 2007 and paid life tax at Adilabd district RTA. He paid 50000 Rs for the NO, There was no one Competing for the no, RTA alloted the no to Jr NTR. Now his new car number is AP 01 R - 9999. Now again Jr.NTR could get simlar number and paid big money in Vijayawada. Now Jr NTR is following his uncle's foot steps.

Ravi Babu's 'Amaravathi' to hit theatres in November

Ravi Babu of Anasuya and Nacchavule fame has clandestinely made Amaravathi, with Bhoomika, Sneha and Tarakaratna in the main roles. Interestingly, he has not let a single still from the film leak to the media.
Probably, he wants to add a dash of mystery to his film so it will seem more curious to the audience. With a hero like Tarakaratna playing a character with negative shades, and two famous actresses, Bhoomika and Sneha to be seen together, there are great expectations among fans of Bhoomika and Ravi Babu.
The trailers of the film are releasing in the theatres showing popular films like Ek Niranjan. Seems that the producers will want to their film to have immense publicity once it releases.

RAM CHARAN Making Most from Overseas Market

There was a time, when revenues from Overseas markets like USA, UK, Australia was meager. But it all began to change with films like 'Happy Days'. And after the super success of Magadheera in theoverseas market, the Overseas Market has just got better and bigger. The huge revenues which this film managed to rake in, has been an encouraging sign for overseas buyers to quote large amount of money for distribution rights. Recently, Venkatesh starrer, 'Namo Venkatesha' was bought for Rs. 1.7 crores, Ravi Teja's 'Shambi Shiva Shambo' for Rs.70 lakhs and Allu Arjun's 'Varudu' with director Gunasekhar was bought for Rs.1.4 crores. There is also a buzz that Ram Charan Teja's third film 'Orange' with Genelia might be bought for as much as Rs.2.50 Crores! The way things are shaping up for Telugu films in countries like US and UK, it only seems to be getting better and better.

Arya2 hitting the marquee in second week of November

Following the idiom of Arya, Arya2 has been made entertainingly by Sukumar. Produced under the banner of Adithya Arts, the film stars Allu Arjun and Kajal Agarwal, and Navdeep and Shraddha Das (of Diary fame) also playing intersting roles.

It is not a sequel to Arya but has the character of Arya retaining the peculiarity. If earlier he asked the girl to just feel his love, in this one he believes that even if someone is hating us, there is an intense feel underneath it.

Devi Sri Prasad is the musician and the film is produced by Adithya Babu.

Arrow Pointing Her ................

She is known as the hot and ravishing sex siren of the Bollywood and she has made her presence felt in the southern circuit as well. She is none other than Riya Sen and more than anything else; it is her sex appeal that comes first than anything else.

There is no end to the oomph that Riya generates with her gorgeous figure and here she is this time showing the power of her assets. Wearing a black tee with a deep cleavage, she makes it a point to guide the attention of the audience to her most sensuous part.

With thighs that are delicious to devour and legs that are made of honey silk, Riya’s assets act as the most tempting part of her body and one really envies that lucky man who will one day take over the heart of this sex siren and make the most of it.

Only External Factors Should Save 'Ek Niranjan'

The film ‘Ek Niranjan’ came in with huge expectations and the pre release talk had actually given a good feel. However, the reality was seen on the screen and the audiences were disappointed to see that this was just another one off the mill.

With barely anything to talk about, the film has got an average talk and so the collections will dip in no time. However, the makers have got few advantages that might take them home safely. Firstly, there is no big release till ‘Arya 2’ which is happening in the month of November.

Also, if there is a positive word of mouth publicity that takes place among the masses, then the graphs will change. It would also make sense if Prabhas and team get into some promotion acts. If all this works well, then chances are that ‘Ek Niranjan’ will have a smile.

Glamour shooting complete

Mumbai based model-actress Karishma Kotak's trilingual flickGlamour, being directed and produced by P. Satya Reddy in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi under the banner of Janam Entertainments, has completed its entire shooting at the exotic locations of Nagarjunasagar, Mumbai and Vishakapatnam.

The makers now plan to release the film in November. Speaking about the film, director P. Satya Reddy said Glamour is set in the backdrop of the film industry and depicts how young lives get attracted to the glamour and gimmicks of the industry.

Ahmadulla plays a key role in this film, which has six songs from music director Mumbai Ravi. Also in the cast are Bhavani Agarwal, Kavitha, Bhuvaneshwari, Telangana Sakuntala, Bombay Ravi, A.V.S., Rami Reddy, Raghunatha Reddy, Kallu Chidambaram, Gundu Hanumath Rao and others.

Mysskin's Kamal Haasan starrer titled 500 BC?

After the thumping win of Unnai Pol Oruvan(Eenadu in Telugu), Kamal Haasan is now busy with the paperwork of his next project, rumoured to be a period film which a popular Tamil magazine says is based on the story of Lord Buddha's tooth, located at the sanctuary of the Temple of Tooth in Kandy, Sri Lanka. If these reports are to be believed, this magnum opus to be directed by Mysskin has been titled 500 BC.

The legend on how the Sacred Relic of the Tooth made its way to Sri Lanka is fascinating. It says that the tooth was taken when Buddha's mortal remains were on the funeral pyre. A popular belief in Sri Lanka says that the tooth was originally with the Kalinga kings and after several wars, it finally landed in Sri Lanka.

It is still unclear whether the film would be a period one or would be interlinked with the present day situation. A few years ago, Steven Spielberg had plans to make a period film on Lord Buddha's Tooth. Rumour mills say that Kamal has gone to the US to meet with some Hollywood bosses to fund this mammoth project and will return in the first week of November.

The story revolves three characters played by Sivaji, Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Archana. Rajendra Prasad plays the role of Lord Krishna. Why Lord Krishna comes to college is the crux of the story. The film is slated for November release.

Prabhas-Gopichand in Partners

Tollywood's big heroes, rebel star Prabhas and aggressive star Gopichand, join hands for the second time in a forthcoming film tentatively titled Partners. Earlier, they acted together in Varsham in which Gopichand played the villain and Prabhas the hero.

Why Nagarjuna Silent After YSR Death?

Nagarjuna had been regularly in news till the death of YSR. He graced many film occasions and also appeared in various Ads pertaining to government. But now he is completely silent. He supported the candidature of Jagan to become CM like Super Star Krishna, Jeevitha Rajasekhar and others expressed publicly. But later he has been in oblivion.

He is apparently keeping himself far from Congress and that shows his connection was only with YSR and none other. Had he been a favorite of Congress, he would have continued his journey with the party supporting it. But he is not doing that.

On the other hand, no one knows why he is away from film events too. He was absent in Starnite meetings as well as Southscope Style Awards event.

Producers Demanding Money From Kajal

This is the blunt reality in Tollywood circles as many say. Kajal, who got huge applause with the super success of the film ‘Magadheera’ has received huge attention from many producers. Looking at the demand, she also raised the remuneration to Rs 1 Cr. Many producers have given her advances but as her subsequent movie ‘Ganesh’ has bitten mud at box office, some are approaching her by demanding to pay back the advances.

On the other hand, so far she acted in one Tamil film ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’, whose Telugu distribution rates have also fallen down.

Kajal’s idea of ‘make hay while sun shines’ didn’t work in her favor.

Only the success fills oxygen in film industry. That has proven true once again.
