NTR's Sankranthi 'Saapam' Broken!!!

It is often said that NTR Junior is rather laid back person. But now the star just recovered from a bad back and was kicking some goons on location of his new film being shot in the old city. The reason for his new energy levels can be attributed to the great opening of his new film which is currently playing in the theatres. Junior has had a poor run at the BO whenever they’ve released during Sankranti but this film is breaking a festival jinx for him. The young star said “I’ve never believed in the superstition myself. I think those films were bad and that’s why they flopped. I’ll make no excuses for films that haven’t worked.”

However, he maintains that his film should not be compared to the mega blockbuster Maghadeera. He stated that it’s too early to predict if his film will become the highest grosser. Also, he added that the film had competition from other releases. Speaking about the number game NTR said he doesn’t believe in that at all. He reiterated that acting is his passion and though he is not desperate to become the No.1 in the industry, if he actually became one, he wouldn’t mind it either.

Regarding his low profile he said that he’s cautious of talking to the “media” and adds that he doesn’t act to be good to strangers just to promote his movies. He made it clear that if he doesn’t like someone he can’t hide it. So, it’s best to let his work do all the talking instead.

Speaking about his comeback after the bad back injury, junior said that he was worried about the growing number of well-wishers who felt he would never be able to dance in his life. He also added they were genuinely concerned about his health but he took it up as a challenge and got back in action. He emotionally mentioned that it was his ‘Punarjanma’.

Next in the pipeline are Brindavanam and Shakti. While the first is a wholesome family entertainer the latter is a unique concept. The young actor also made it clear to do a couple of films a year. He recalled how his grandfather used to do 15 films in a year. He stated that there are a lot of scripts, some of which are very good. But filmmakers are reluctant to take risks. After his blockbuster Simhadri, he was apprehensive about doing larger-than-life roles too, but he began to enjoy doing them after a while.

On the personal front, NTR isn’t a party animal. He is not into pubbing and prefers a quiet evening with his friends at a private place. His home is his retreat and likes music. He says it can be a great stress-buster. Marriage and romance are not on the cards and he states that there’s no time for either. Currently, his first love is acting and that’s all it is for now.
