Noted film actor and chairman of Sree Vidyanikethan Group of Educational Institutions, Dr. Mohan Babu donated one lakh to the Journalists' Welfare Fund being created under the aegis of the Press Club, Tirupati.A cheque was handed over by T. Gopala Rao, Special Officer of Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Group, to the office-bearers of Press Club on Tuesday.
Addressing the journalists, Rao said that Mohan Babu had more to offer in future and would unveil more plans for the welfare of journalists at the appropriate time.
This amount will go a long way in meeting the ambitious target of Rs. 7,77,777 set by the Press Club to meet the hospitalisation and medicare needs of the journalists.
