Trisha's Bollywood film begins
The shooting of reigning actress Trisha's debut Hindi filmKhatta Meetha, being directed by her mentor Priyadarshan with Akshay Kumar as hero, has finally started in a remote village in Baramati, 100 kilometres from Pune.
Trisha, who was shooting with Tamil actor Simbu in New York for Gautham Menon’sVinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, made a flying visit to Chennai to get the blessings of her grandmother and mother before leaving for Pune.
According to sources, Trisha plays two different avatars in this film, though it’s not a double role. The plot requires her to play two characters in different time periods, it is said. Unlike Priyadarshan's earlier slapstick comedies with Akshay, Khatta Meetha will be a family film with lots of scope for the actress to perform.
Meanwhile, Trisha has signed up opposite Tollywood's mass hero Jr. NTR for the first time for Brindavanam, directed by Vamsi Paidipalli and produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. This film is likely to start rolling in the second half of November.
