Ilayathalapathi Vijay's successful Tamil filmAzhagiya Thamizh Magan (2007), directed by Bharathan with Shriya and Namitha as heorines, is being dubbed in Telugu asMahamuduru jointly by Addala Venkatarao and Jamil under the banner of Lakshmi Venkateshwara Productions. Prominent singer Mano is the presenter of the Telugu version. A.R. Rahman is scoring music. The audio will hit the stands soon.

Azhagiya Tamizh Magan revolves around Gurumoorthy (Vijay), an athlete and business management student, who meets Abhinaya (Shriya Saran), daughter of a business baron (Ashish Vidyarthi) and falls in love with her.

While the movie goes on to show how the lovers manage to get the permission of their parents, the story takes a different turn when Gurumoorthy realizes that he has an ability to predict future events. A psychiatrist (Dr. R.K. Rudhran) confirms that it is Extra Sensory Perception. With his new ability, Guru identifies several future events, including an attempt to murder his lover by someone who looks just like him. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
