Raavan set to go to Canes Film Festival, in theaters on June 18th

It almost took 2 years for Maniratnam to complete ‘Raavan’. This multi-starrer film featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, in central roles will be released in three languages – Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Maniratnam crafted this film based on few episodes taken from the epic Ramayan. Right now the dubbing for the Telugu version is being done at Chennai. Interestingly Vikram is lending his own voice even for Telugu version and more interesting aspect is that he has to tell his dialogues in typical village accent.

Now the latest news is that ‘Raavan’ is being planned to release on June 18th. But before that the film will be sent to Canes Film Festival in May. Hence the post production works are being done at a fast pace. It is learnt that Abhishek, Aishwarya, Vikram and Maniratnam are also planning to tour USA, Canada, London and France for the publicity of ‘Raavan’.
