'Bindaas' Igniting Caste Feelings

Just like the couch casting, there is one more thing which is very prevalent in the film industry but it is an open secret. This is the caste feeling. Here is one man who has taken it a step further and proved it.

He is none other than the new director Veeru Potla who came with the film ‘Bindaas’. After watching his film, many were aghast at the way he degraded Reddy and Brahmin community and wondered how he could deliberately show caste feeling.

Some are also saying that the producer seems to have ‘managed’ the censor board members and that’s why the dialogues were passed without a hitch. Though other directors have taken a dig at other communities, it was done in a subtle way but Veeru Potla sure lacks that maturity and is blinded by the caste feeling, as per the industry folks.

There is a scene where a dhaba was named ‘Reddy Dhaba’ in which Apoorva is shown as a character-less woman. Many Reddys were found themselves in uncomfortable position while watching the scene. And the Brahmin community is derided in first scene and also projected it as downtrodden community and crooked in mind-set, at the climax, with generalized dialogues.
