Meera Jasmine as playback singer

After a gap of more than one year, talented Meera Jasmine is finally back to Malayalam, where she had been facing an unofficial ban from filmmakers owing to her alleged "attitude problem" when she refused to act in last year’s multistarrer Twenty:20.
According to sources, Meera Jasmine will be seen as an aspiring singer in an untitled Malayalam musical entertainer to be directed by Rajeev Anchal. It will feature Jagathi Sreekumar (as Meera Jasmine's father), Revathy, Manoj K. Jayan and Nedumudi Venu in the lead roles.
The script is by Dr. Rajendra Babu. The film has six songs by debutante music director Dr. Suresh Manimala. Lyrics are by O.N.V. Kurup. Azhagappan is in charge of the camera. The pooja of the film will be held on Wednesday at Vismaya Studios. The makers are planning to begin regular shooting at Kudaku and Chennai by January, 2010.
