More than Saturday or Sunday, the Telugu folks love to wait for Fridays. Well, that’s because of the love they have for cinema and each Friday is like the best time to watch new movies and get entertained. However, the current position has grabbed all those moments of good times.
This was seen clearly yesterday when all the theatres bore burial silence without crowds. The usually hectic RTC X roads junction wore a deserted look. The saving grace was the Shanti theatre screening ‘3 Idiots’ and thanks to the Churches around where the Christian folks wrapped up their prayers and got into the hall.
The bandh atmosphere (although Dec 25th was an exception) has caused a major impact to the weekend and the lack of big banner releases gave a bored look to the theatres. It is not really sure when the situation is going to change but then the Telugu audience is hopeful that the political mess gets cleared up and are praying that life gets back to normal soon.
