VV- The Star Story Writer @ Rs 40 Lakhs

It is not often that one gets to talk of high remunerations to writers unless they are like Paruchuri brothers. However, things have changed and a new wave of talent has come who quote fat remunerations and deliver it as well. One such name is that of Vakkantham Vamsi and it seems that for the blockbuster hit movie ‘Kick’ he was paid Rs 22 lakhs. Owing to that hit, Vakkantham Vamsi is now said to be quoting nearly Rs 30-40 lakhs remuneration and guess what, this is only for the story and not the bound script. Meanwhile, industry members say that the story thing has to be done in knack as there have been several instances wherein movie makers have heard the story and use it for their films without giving the due credit and making few minor changes. Wonder how V V would manage with such high remuneration then.
