Varudu becomes Kaleja


Prince Mahesh Babu's tentatively titled forthcoming flick Varudu, being directed by Trivikram Srinivas with voluptuous beauty Anushka as the heroine, has been renamedKaleja, which was the first choice between 'Kaleja' and 'Khiladi' shortlisted by the makers. According to sources, the film got this new title after director Trivikram made some changes in the script.

After the tremendous success of Athadu (2005), this is the second time Mahesh Babu teams up with director Trivikram Srinivas in Kaleja, touted to be an adventurous, comedy-oriented love story, produced by Singanamala Ramesh under the banner of Kanakarathna Movies.

Mahesh Babu plays the role of a taxi driver, while Prakashraj is the villain. Sunil and Brahmanandam have key roles in this movie, being cinematographed by ace Bollywood cameraman Sunil Patel of Hum Tum and Bachna Ae Haseeno fame. Mani Sharma scores the music.
