Nagarjuna's 'Costly Treatment' For Journalists

Off late, ‘King’ Nagarjuna has been getting quite media friendly and many remember the days when he was aloof and kept all at a distance. Now, there is news that he is all set to treat the journos for a costly feast at the famous Novotel hotel in the hi-tec city.

Well, this is for his forthcoming venture and Nag is said to be looking at holding a press meet at Novotel and treat the media to a lavish spread of menu. Meanwhile, the film was earlier titled as ‘Rummy’, then it changed to ‘Mosagadu’ but now, it has been finalized as ‘K D’, as per sources.

It seems that the reason for that happens to be the new ‘K’ sentiment that Nag has developed after the success of ‘King ‘. For a change, his film is not releasing this month and it will be up for the Sankranti time giving the audience a tough time since many big banner movies are coming that time.

'Magadheera' Nu Choosi 'Puli' Vaathalu

It is not an exaggeration when our ancestors come up with adages. One among that happens to be ‘Puli ni choosi nakka vaathapettukundhi’. Now, that sutra seems to be applied for the new movie of power star Pawan Kalyan ‘Puli’. Here is the reason behind that thought.

Apparently, Pawan’s movie is being made at a budget of Rs 35 crores which is higher than ‘Magadheera’ itself in terms of budget. So, many have posed the question as to what is so extravagant in the film that such an amount is being spent on it.

Sources close to the film justify that all must wait and watch the movie to know its impact. But then, there are those who say that this is a rather overestimated budget for a movie like this. Well, it is up to Pawan and team now to silence all the critics and prove the money’s worth.

Tollywood's Big-Hopes On 'Paris Prasad'

With some of the most promising movies turning out to be below average or duds at the box office, the Tollywood has not lost its spirit and is still hoping that the big banner will always bail them out of crisis. This time, their hopes are pinned on the Sankranthi treat ‘Namo Venkatesa’.

This is directed by Srinu Vytla and a strong reason for that is the inside talk and the buzz which has generated on one ‘Paris Prasad’. Well, that is not the title of the film but the character which is being played by the super comedian Brahmanandam.

It seems that Vytla has given special focus on this role and it is almost on par with the lead hero Venkatesh. The pretty girl Trisha is the leading lady and with such a strong combo, many are hoping that ‘Paris Prasad’ will get some ‘paisalu’ to the makers and also to the industry.

'First Cut' From 'Rakta Charitra' Shocking!!!

The film ‘Rakta Charitra’ is building up the heat and the temperatures have picked up quickly on this one. With a faction backdrop based on the life of Paritala Ravi, the maverick movie maker Ram Gopal Varma is putting his life and soul to come up with a hard hitting flick.

Now, the title sequence for the film is ready and the video is already out on the You Tube site. It has come out really well and gives a feel of how cold blooded the film is going to be like. Ramu seems to have decided to give it the most realistic look like never before.

Though the title sequence sends a brutal message to the viewers, many say that this is an insight into the faction world that is often glorified on the silver screen. They hope that Ramu will be able to give the correct and up close picture of how savage that lifestyle is. Watch the interesting way of showing titles as News on Dailies!!

No smoking rule imposed at IFFI venues

Following a written complaint from the National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE) to the organisers of the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI), IFFI officials asked the stars not to smoke at the venues of the film festivals.

"Rajat Kapoor, Radhika Apte and other delegates were seen smoking within the INOX courtyard which was reported in local newspapers. This is a violation of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) 2003 which is operative in Goa since 2008,” NOTE general secretary Shekhar Salkar said in the complaint addressed to Manoj Srivastava, CEO of the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), the co-host for IFFI.

NOTE has said that it was the organisers’ legal and moral responsibility to ensure that “Film stars and VIPs not be seen smoking as the younger generation would imitate the actions of these heroes and become addicted to smoking which will damage their health." It has further asked ESG to take punitive action against smoking at all IFFI venues and ensure that the public places remain smoke free.

Sasikumar finds 54-year old hero

Kollywood's highly acclaimed director-actor-writer M. Sasikumar of colossalSubramaniapuram and Naadodigal fame had been on the search of a 54-year old actor for the last several weeks to perform the lead role in his forthcoming Tamil film Eesan, for which he took nearly a year to complete the script.

According to latest reports, the promising filmmaker finally roped in former Producers' Council President A.L. Azhagappan (father of actor Uhaya and filmmaker Vijay of Kireedamfame) to play the role. Sasikumar is introducing two new heroines. Reports suggest they are the daughters of actor Jayaprakash, who appeared as a teacher in Sasi's Pasanga.

South Indian super star Vikram produces Eesan, which is likely to start rolling by this weekend. Unlike his previous films, Sasikumar will not make an onscreen presence in this film, which will have director Samuthirakkani enacting a prominent role. The technical team of the film comprises cinematographer Kathir and music director James Vasanthan, who have worked with Sasikumar before.

Shruti Haasan-Siddharth in love?

Legendary South India actor Kamal Haasan's pretty daughter Shruti Haasan, currenly juggling between her music in Chennai and going through scripts from Mumbai, is a frequest visitor of Hyderabad these days as this stunningly beautiful actress-singer-composer is making her Telugu debut opposite Siddharth.

Talking about her Telugu film being directed by National Award winning Prakash Rao (son of the legendary film-maker Raghavendra Rao), Shruti said that she is currently having fun learning Telugu, picking up the local language quite fast! She is already fluent in Tamil, English, Hindi and even knows a bit of German.

Meanwhile, the latest buzz in tinsel town suggests that Shruti Haasan and Siddharth are in love! It says that the duo has been spotted together many times.

“They look very comfortable with each other. Sid and Shruti have had many lunch and dinner meetings and even been arriving at parties to dance the night away. Apparently, Kamal knows about his daughter's love interest and has no problems with her relationship, despite the fact that she is still trying to make it big in movies and her affair might damage her career prospects. Kamal, it seems, likes Siddharth a lot and adores his acting," a source was quoted as saying.

'Adurs' May Cross 'Magadheera' !?

Ever since the film ‘Magadheera’ has created new frontiers, it appears that other big budget movie makers have been taking this as the reference point and want to out beat it. Well, that seems to be the idea of the makers of the new movie ‘Adurs’ which has young tiger NTR junior in the lead.

There is news that a huge cut out is being arranged by the makers and this is of a record creating size. Sources say that the cut out will be of 120 feet length and it will be unveiled in the Nizampet area. If this happens, then this will be a new record created in the history of Telugu cinema.

On the other side, many say that with such gestures, the expectations will naturally be high and that would become a challenge for the movie makers then. Also, the film is said to be opening in 1000 screens worldwide and if the movie gets a good talk then ‘Magadheera’s record will be wiped out. But will this happen?
