Director G. Ramakrishna's devotional flickJagadguru Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, starring noted director B.V. Reddy as Shirdi Sai Baba, is releasing today. The film is produced by B.V. Reddy himself under the banner of SRR Creations.Shirdi Sai Baba, regarded as a saint by both Hindus and Muslims, is beleived to have lived from 1835 and 1918. Some of his Hindu devotees believe that he was an incarnation of Shiva or Dattatreya, although this is a recent claim. Shirdi Sai Baba led an ascetic life, sitting motionless in an asana under a neem tree and meditating. His most concise message for one and all alike was, "Why fear when I am here?"
Jagadguru Sri Shirdi Sai Baba has Nagababu, Suman, Siva Parvathi and Siva Krishna in other important roles. Dialogues are by Kommanapalli Ganapati Rao, music by Lalit Suresh, lyrics by Suddala Ashokteja, Parimi Narasimham, Gurucharan and Taidala Bapu, camera by K. Srinivasa Reddy and editing is by Menaga Sreenu.
