International Film Festival in Tenali



The first International Film Festival organized by Tenali Cultural Film Society to commemorate the golden jubilee of Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI), commenced on November 7 at Asha Deluxe Theatre and Ramakrishna.


Tenali Cultural Film Society secretary B. Krishna said that all the films being screened have been digitised and said that free screenings have been arranged for schoolchildren. On Monday, an open panel discussion involving veteran film producer and actor Narayana Rao on ‘contemporary trends in cinema’ was held.


Some of the popular movies to be screened in the festival include the Chinese movieCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and The ChoirSlumdog Millionaire will be screened on Wednesday evening. The festival will conclude on November 12. A host of film personalities, including Murali Mohan and Jamuna, would attend the valedictory function.
