Rummy produer hurt with Nagarjuna's comments

Nagarjuna who is known for frank and openness when it comes to talk about wrong practices in film industry made a statement about small time guys registering titles of big hero projects in advance and then asking for big money to transfer the title. He also told that the guys who are holding title of Rummy demanded 12 lacs for transferring it.

Surendra – the producer who registered Rummy title at film chamber told, “We registered this title for a movie to be made with Sivaji as hero. But the director Sarath Chandra died in a bike accident before commencement of the project. Thats why project got delayed. We have the plans of making this film with another director. Meanwhile, somebody from Kamakshi movie approached us and offered us a lac of rupees to transfer Rummy title. We said no because we have a project on with Rummy as title. No other person from Kamakshi contacted us after that. We were surprised when Nagarjuna said that we asked for 12 lacs to transfer the title. We have not entered into film production to make money by selling titles. We own a couple of software companies in USA. We also run hotels in USA. We also have another software company in India. We are hurt by the comments made by Nagarjuna.”
