The Movie Artists Association had held a press conference recently to express their happiness and gratitude over the peaceful and successful run of movies amidst the on going separate statehood agitations.
“We are very thankful to the people for extending their support to the film industry and making the recently released films a success” MAA president and actor Murali Mohan said “we belong to everybody and everybody belong to us. Whatever may be the future we will continue to entertain the Telugu audiences. The film industry and politics are two separate entities and they should remain as such. The film industry will not take sides in any political matters”.
Film makers Tammareddy Bharadwaj and Prasanna Kumar also echoed the same opinion as Murali Mohan and were joined by colleagues Kota Srinivasa Rao, K.C.Sekhar Babu, Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan, Nallamallapa Srinivas. Natti Kumar and Dhanya Sunder Reddy.
They observed two minutes of silence in mourning for the late NTR and Jyothi Basu.
