Route cleared for ‘Adhurs’, to release for Sankranthi!


Jr.NTR’s latest film ‘Adhurs’ has cleared all the hurdles and is finally gearing up for its big release. The film was earlier supposed to release on December 18th. However, it was one of the few films which became a target of Telangana activists. Due to some reasons, Telangana JAC and students JAC had decided to boycott the film and further they decided that they won’t let the film release in Telangana region. The release date of the film kept on getting postponed. Finally, the producers met the Joint Action Committee and their discussions have been fruitful. Having cleared all the hurdles, the film will hit the screen this Sankranthi. Sources say that the film maybe released on January 12th. The producers are in talks with the distributors and the theatre owners to release the film on schedule and the exact date of release will be confirmed in a day. V.V.Vinayak is directing this film. Vallabhaneni Vamsimohan is producing it on ‘Vaishnavi Arts’ banner. Nayanatara and Sheela are acting opposite Jr.NTR. Brahmanandam is playing an important role in this film which has Jr.NTR playing a double role. The film has been made with a budget of Rs. 36 crores. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for this film.

Among other big releases, which have been confirmed for Sankranthi release are Venkatesh and Trisha starrer, ‘Namo Venkatesa’ and Ravi Teja, Priyamani starrer ‘Shambo Shiva Shambo’. Both these films are expected to release either on Jan 13th or on Jan 14th. The exact release date of Rana’s ‘Leader’ and Nagarjuna’s ‘Kedi’ is yet to be confirmed.
