It appears that remakes of Telugu hit films is the latest trend in Kannada film industry. Ram and Genelia’s ‘Ready’ which was remade in Kannada and released recently went on to become a big hit. Mahesh Babu’s sensational hit ‘Pokiri’ is all set to release on January 22nd.
And now, block buster film ‘Simhadri’ which is a landmark in Jr NTR’s career and so for SS Rajamouli, is going to be remade in Kannada with the action hero Vijay (NTR’s role) and Pooja Gandhi (Bhumika’s role) as lead pair. The remake rights were recently purchased by the Kannada producer Ramu and he is going to carve it in Kannada after almost 7 seven years of Simhadri’s release. The shooting of this remake is likely to begin shortly.
