James Cameron’s science fiction ‘Avatar’ broke the global box office records by touching $ 1 billion gross collections within 17 days of its release. While the collections in USA alone were $ 352.1 million, it was $ 670 million in the rest of the world.
Of late the craze for English films dubbed in Telugu is also widely increasing. After ‘2012’, it is ‘Avatar’ which is currently shaking the box office at AP. ‘2012’ created record by collecting about Rs 12 crores in AP theaters and now ‘Avatar’ is said to be breaking that record shortly even with lot of tensions going around in the state.
