Yemaaya Chesaave Success Meet

Naga Chaitanya’s latest sensation ‘Ye Maya Chesavo’ co-starring Samantha under Gautham Menon’s direction was recently released and now in its success path. Produced by Sanjay Swaroop under Indira Productions banner, the unit arranged a success meet at Prasad Labs on Monday, the January 8th.

Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna, Manjula, Sanjay Swaroop, Naga Chaitanya, Samantha, Krishnudu, Sreenu Vaitla, Sumanth, Ramesh Prasad and others participated in the success meet.

Firstly, Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao addressed and said, “First time when Krishna’s daughter approached me with YMC script, as a senior actor I knew the difficulties of a producer. Of late the sex and violence dominated films are leading he youth to wrong directions, at this juncture Manjula came up with one such delicate subject. Such films will generally appeal the youth and of course, I too saw the film with young heart. Since I dealt with many romantic films I know the difference in love stories. My grandson’s role in the film has very little efforts, whereas the heroine’s role is a complex one. In ‘Laila Majnu’ also, the heroine’s role is complex compared to that of mine. When I watched ‘Josh’ my heart felt that my grandson will become a good actor. If he corrects his mistakes and proceed he can definitely become a good actor. I hope this heroine will become a great actress like Savitri in the near future. Compared to this film‘Geetanjali’ is a good film because of the characters in that film. I congratulate Manjula and Sanjay for making a feel good film.”

Manjula said, “Firstly, I would like to thank the God and my parents. This movie has come from two families belonging to film industry. During the making of this film my father told me that this film would become as big hit as ‘Pokiri’. On this occasion I thank Mr Nagarjunafor giving us this opportunity. His support means a lot to us. Naga Chaitanya also gave a comfort feel. I told Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu that I am going to make a poetic film. Making a film with love subject is not a easy task. Music played a vital role in this film. I thank the entire cast and crew of YMC.”

Nagarjuna while speaking, “As soon as I saw the film I wanted to arrange a press conference and convey my views on the film. I first of all want to thank Manjula and Sanjay for giving one such wonderful film. My sincere thanks to the entire cast and crew of this film. I wanted to watch this film for another two to three times only for the sake of Jessie character. I was at Kulu Manali at the time of the film’s release. But I was happy to received phone calls stating that the film is very good. Even my fans are appreciating the film even though there are no fights in it. I thank one and all for watching the film and appreciating it.”

Sanjay Swaroop said, “I knew this film is going to be a successful one but I never expected it to be so big hit. Nagarjuna garu gave us an unforgettable support. I wish Naga Chaitanya will grow as a good hero like his grand father and father.”

“Everyone is comparing this flick with ‘Geetanjali’. Chaitanya was born at the time of making of ‘Geetanjali’. So I feel there is some connection between him and ‘Geetanjali’ film. After a very long time the Telugu film industry got a real hero for romantic subjects. All the best Chaitu!” said Sumanth.

Naga Chaitanya while telling his views, “I saw the film even before its release. Some kind of fear started in me because we are going in a new way. But today I am too happy because the audiences are only seeing the characters Karthik and Jessie on screen and not the actors. I thank my producers for providing one such wonderful film to me.”

Samantha expressed her happiness for being introduce to the audience with such finely designed character.

I'm the Shah Rukh of Telugu films: Siddharth

Southern star Siddharth, who plans to turn producer next year, says he is the "Shah Rukh Khan" of the Telugu film industry and that romance will always be his forte even though he is popular for his intense roles in Hindi movies like Rang De Basanti.

"I do a lot of romantic roles in Telugu films. In fact when people say you are the Aamir Khan of Telugu films, I say I am the Shah Rukh Khan of the film industry. I do all the 'Tujhe dekha toh ye jaana sanam' type of sequences in Telugu," said Siddharth.

"I do romantic movies as my mainstay and when I want to change my mood, I do a Striker or a Rang De Basanti. Now that I have done a serious film like Striker, I need to go back to my strengths and do a romantic film," said Siddharth, who has done Telugu films like Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana and Bommarillu.

At the same time, the actor, who played the intense Karan Singhania in Rang De Basanti and a Mumbai-based carrom player in crime thriller Striker, stressed that doing romantic roles is not a cakewalk.

"I find romantic films, which are on a lighter vein in Telugu, as challenging as serious dramatic films in Hindi - both are equally tough. The important thing is that you have to find a nice script and I think 'Striker' was one of the nicest scripts I have read in my career because I found it a very realistic film.

"My next Hindi film would be a more light-hearted one. I wanted to do a light-hearted one for now because when you do a serious role, you need to come out of it. I want to give as much time as I can to Hindi," he said.

Siddharth made his debut in Bollywood with Rang De Basanti in 2006. He took a four-year break before his second release Striker but now plans to do more Hindi films.

"At this time, I am shooting for two Telugu films simultaneously so that I can have a year to do Hindi films," said the 30-year-old.

The actor is currently busy with a Rs 300 million fantasy adventure film in Telugu and a village comedy.

He also has his plans set for launching his own production house in 2011.

"I am starting my own production next year. India is becoming a great country to make small, independent films that are content driven, just like Striker. These films need to be made because these big studio films with the routine 'naach gaana' (song and dance) and foreign locations will always be made because they are fun. But it's important to make realistic cinema as well.

"I want to get into production very soon. We are going to make an announcement in a couple of months. We have got our funding," he said.
