Osey Mallamma coming shortly

Sushmita Sen’s Hindi flick ‘Chingari’ being made on Utter Pradesh village backdrop is getting released in Telugu with the title ‘Osey….Mallamma’. Susmitha will be seen in the title role as a prostitute and it is an off beat film. Yester year hero, ‘Disco Dancer’ fame Mithun Chakraborthy, is playing a vital role. J Panduranga Reddy is bringing this film in Telugu under Pyramid Film Factory banner. The first copy is ready and the film is all set to hit screens shortly. Dialogues are penned by Srinivasa Murthy, while the story is provided by Bhupin Hazarika and music by Srivatsav.

SPB in K Vishwanath’s film

It’s been long time since we have seen SPB on the silver screen. Now, the singer cum actor is going to appear in K Vishwanath’s latest film featuring Allari Naresh and Manjari Fadnis. Yes! Balasubrahmaniam is going to play the role of a singer. The scenes involving him are going to be canned at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. This is the first time he is acting under K Vishwanath’s direction. Hari Gopala Krishna Murthy and Sheela Neela Tilak are jointly producing the film under Sri Sri Rajarajeswari Films banner.

SPB had earlier produced a film ‘Subha Sankalpam’ under K Vishwanath’s direction through which Vishwanath also turned actor. ‘Subha Sankalpam’ starred Kamal Hassan and Aamani as lead pair.

B Gopal-Gopichand film on the cards

After ‘Maska’ with young hero Ram, it appears that now B Gopal (delivered block-busters like Narasimha Naidu and Samarasimha Reddy with NBK in the past) is preparing a script for his next film with Gopichand. The title is yet to be fixed, but the film in this combination is sure to hit the sets sometime in this year only. The film would be produced by Nallamalapu Srinivas Rao aka Bujji, who earlier produced ‘Lakshyam’ with Gopichand. This would be his 2nd film with him. Right now, Gopichand-Puri Jagannath’s ‘Golimaar’ is getting ready to hit theaters shortly in this summer.

Sneha Geetham on May 1st, Dhan Dhana Dhan next

Youthful entertainer ‘Sneha Geetham’, directed by the debutant Madhura Sridhar and produced by Lagadapati Sridhar under Larsco Entertainment banner is getting ready for release on May 1st. On other hand, Sridhar is also getting ready for his next project to be directed by art director Ashok (Okkadu, Arundathi and Varudu fame), who is going to make his directorial debut. This film will be on dance backdrop with children in central roles. The title of this flick is considered as ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’.

Darling, now coming on April 23rd

Prabhas-Kajal Agarwal starring ‘Darling’ being directed by ‘Tholi Prema’, ‘Ullasamga Uthsahamga’ fame Karunakaran. The film has completed its shooting part and presently in post productions. Tamil actor Prabhu is also playing a vital role. ‘Darling’ is a soft romantic entertainer that is going to hit theaters on April 23rd. The film’s release was earlier considered as April 16th. G V Prakash Kumar is the music director. BVSN Prasad is the producer.

Krishna Vamsi-Ram’s film on the cards

Young hero Ram is becoming a busy bee in the year 2010. He is currently working for a flick titled ‘Rama Rama Krishna Krishna’ under Dil Raju’s production and another untitled film for his uncle Sravanthi Ravi Kishore. This apart, the buzz is that Krishna Vamsi is going to direct Ram. The details of this flick will be revealed soon. His ‘Rama Rama Krishna Krishna’ is all set to release during summer.

Deva Katta’s Prasthanam on April 16th

Deva Katta’s ‘Prasthanam’ featuring Sharwanand, Saikumar, Sandeep Kishan as male leads is finally releasing on April 16th. A press meet was arranged at the production office of Ravi Vallabhaneni, the producer of ‘Prasthanam’.

Director Deva Katta said, “I directed ‘Vennela’ in the past and now I am directing ‘Prasthanam’. It’s since 3 months the audio got released but we took enough time to bring out the best quality film. Therefore I believe that the film will become a big hit. The title of this film will remind one of Sri Sri’s ‘Maha Prasthanam’, thus making them think as a political film. This film does not speak about one aspect but it speaks about different aspects. The story of this flick will revolve around three characters. This film releasing on 16th April assures every element of the viewer’s choice.”

Sharwanand said, “It took almost 2 years to complete the script work. The film got delayed only due to various technical problems. But we are happy that it turned out to be a quality film.”

“My first film was ‘Sneha Geetham’ and this is the 2nd film. The entire film revolves around the characters. Director Deva Katta thought me to live in character”, said Sandeep.

Ori Devuda Kaalam Maarera in songs recording

New Way Creations banner’s new film is ‘Ori Devuda Kaalam Maarera’ with a tagline of ‘2070 BC’. The songs recording of this flick was done on Saturday at Hyderabad. Ravi Mulakalapalli is the director while Peddaraaka Ramesh is the producer. “A total of 42 new artists are going to be introduced along with three lead pairs. All of them belong to Telangana region only”, informed the director. The movie will deal with today’s youth’s mind and their life style. Music is being scored by Gorantla Krishna and camera is by Aaryan. Venkateswara Rao is the co-producer.

26 on Mumbai Taj Hotel terrorism backdrop

Sri Venkatesa Mithul Productions is coming up with a film titled ‘26’ being made on the backdrop of Mumbai Taj Hotel terrorism. The tagline of this film is ‘Kingston’. Shooting has been almost completed with just 3 songs remaining. The film was shot in Hyderabad, Vizag and Mumbai. The songs picturisation will be done at Ooty from April 15th onwards.

Satish Kumar, who is directing this flick says, “We are going to discuss about the difference between religion and terrorism and elevate the importance of human values. The film will be made with all required commercial elements like entertainment, suspense, action, etc.”

Ready remake in Salman-Asin combo

After tasting the success of ‘Wanted’ (Pokiri in Telugu) Salman Khanis showing keen interest to do more of remake films. In this line he has signed yet another remake film to be directed by Anees Bazmi. Anees has directed films like ‘No Entry’, ‘Welcome’, Singh Is King’, etc, in the past. And now he is all set to direct a remake of the super duper hit of Sreenu Vaitla’s ‘Ready’. The shooting will begin in the month of June and the film will be released in 2011. Interestingly the heroine of this remake is none other than Asin, who had earlier paired with Salman in ‘London Dreams’.
